We went to see an office for Facepunch today.
It was pretty sweet. It’s kind of too big for us right now, but it’s the kind of price we were looking to pay, so we figure we’ll go for it anyway.
So I know what you’re thinking.. why the hell does Facepunch need an office. You code from home, in your underwear, why would you want to ruin that! And I know, I feel it. But it seems like if we don’t get an office we’re never going to progress. We need to be proper. At the moment we might talk about doing stuff, or hiring people, but talk ourselves out of it idea because we would have to get an office, which means doing something else blah blah. So we’re best off just biting the bullet and taking the step.
The building we went to see has 12 floors. We were shown floor 10, and were happy with it, but the nice lady that showed us around said that the 12th floor is becoming available as soon as Walsall Council move out in a couple of months.. so we’re gonna wait for that because I know if we moved into 10 now I’d always be thinking it’d be better if we were in 12.
So that’s the plan. It’ll be awesome if it all happens, Facepunch Studios at the top of the tallest building in Walsall. King of New York we a #1.
